Reported from Mirs Bay, Tolo Channel, and Tolo Harbour (Ref. 126271). Also reported from Hoi Ha Wan, Sharp Island (Ref. 94637); A Ye Wan, Tung Ping Chau (Ref. 119714); Cape D'Aguilar, and Yan Chau Tong (Ref. 129329). Juveniles were recorded from Starfish Bay and Kei Ling Ha Lo Wai (Ref. 125515). The species was observed on 101 to 200 occasions during 400 dive surveys on artificial reefs (Ref. 119494).
